FOUND! – Tongue Eating Parasite

Fishermen near the Minquiers, a group of islands located south of Jersey (off the coast of France) have found a rare parasite, cymothoa exigua or the Tongue eating louse, inside a weaver fish.
The parasite attaches itself to the fish’s tongue, and begins to leech its blood, until the tongue dies, then the parasite itself replaces the tongue. It doesn’t harm the fish, and the fish can actually still use the parasite as if it is a tongue. It’s a true symbiotic relationship.
The odd thing is, this parasite is usually found off the coast of California and this is the second report of one being found in Europe, the first being in 2005, in a snapper (the parasite’s usual prey) that was purchased in a market in London.
Is this a sign that this creature is spreading globally? It’s obviously expanding the fish species it is attacking. Although it’s not harmful to humans, there are always issues that arise when dealing with invasive species.

Disturbing images, to be sure. Imagine ordering a fish at a restaurant, and seeing one of these things crawling out of its mouth, leaping off of the table and prying open your lips to chew on your fat succulent tongue! Yucko!
That’s why I don’t eat fish, you never know what’s going on down there in the watery depths of darkness.
Doesn’t hurt the fish? Seriously?! It eats their *EXPLETIVE DELETED*ING TONGUES!! And anyone who’s seen Alien knows that parasites always grow up to be something big and slimy, hell bent on world domination. So what’s the real agenda of these little bastards? What nefarious scheme do they have brewing off the coast of Jersey.
Jersey? Oh…well, forget it then. I’m still pissed about that crappy ending of The Sopranos, so they deserve whatever’s coming to them.

I have red a eyewitness report of this creature attacking land mammals in Paraguay.
Conspiracy expert Jerry Fletcher has hipothosized that this is the first step in a mini-invasion! Not only mini because these things ar small, but cause these things are only the 1st wave.
I can’t prove it, but they might be allies of the Lizard People. Suspect they have a deal to devide the oceans and the lands between themselves when invasion is complete.
I’m not interested in conspiracy theories, and I have no idea who Jerry Fletcher is. I’m only interested in scientific fact.

Do you REALLY think all those people in the TV commercials have “Flakey and Scaly” skin? Not a chance. I think it might just be the cover the lizard people need. Think about it. Flakey and scaly skin? That SCREAMS reptile to me!
